Born and raised in Baltimore, Rabbi Ackerman received his Rabbinic Ordination from Yeshivas Ohr Hachaim in Queens, NY. He also earned a B.S. in Accounting from Touro College. Rabbi Ackerman worked for four years as a tax accountant before going into full time Rabbinics. After more than a year serving the lovely community of Cherry Hill, NJ, he is very excited about TLC and looks forward to meeting new students.

Until the Ackermans moved to Cherry Hill, NJ, Naomi Ackerman lived her entire life in Queens, NY. She holds a Masters degree in Special Education from Adelphi University in Garden City, NY. Naomi has taught in regular and special education preschools for many years. Like her husband, she is eager to take TLC by the horns (no pun intended).

The oldest and most talkative of the Ackerman children is Leah, who will be 5 in January. She enjoys coloring, riding her bike, and cooking (look out!). Yehuda, two years old, will run to say hello and entertain you with his antics. See if you can be one of the few whose name Yehuda can pronounce. He enjoys looking at pictures and making messes (the wetter, the better). Shimi, less than a year old, is cute to look at, but doesn’t do all that much, yet. His main activities include crying, eating, and smiling, usually in that order.
